Office 2000 in easy steps is an easy to follow guide to the latest Office software to be released by Microsoft. The book is separated into five sections, the first of which covers features common to the Office 2000 modules. Here the reader learns to create new documents, launch and use the New dialog, work with templates and work with Wizards. The reader is taught how to open and save Office 2000 and Internet documents, publish to the Internet, edit in Internet Explorer and use the Office HELP system. Also covered here is the Office Assistant, the Shortcut bar, Quick File Switching, repairing errors and collect and paste. The next chapter is dedicated to Word 2000. Instruction is provided for entering text, sending e-mail, using the different view options and changing zoom levels. The reader learns how to format text and paragraphs with instruction on changing font and type, aligning paragraphs, paragraph borders and fills, and working with text.
