| Ellen has been living on her own in a cottage in Cheshire since her husband abandoned her. Having married once for love she is now determined that the second time around it will be for money. Ellen sets out to secure her future by trying to tempt Duncan, her rather pompous but not unattractive divorce lawyer to give up his bachelor life and marry her.
